Does this palm frond pattern look familiar?

It’s is the iconic Martinique Wallpaper by Stockwell from Hinson & Company.  You can find it in its most famous locale, the Beverly Hills Hotel.  These banana leaves have been adorning the walls in the timeless hotel since 1942.

There’s something comforting and a tiny bit kitschy about it. I’ve seen it used in some pretty fantastic restaurants in Dallas and New York.  And today I stumbled upon it used in Nicky Hilton’s dining room.

Nicky has long been my favorite Hilton sister.  She’s always been a little more reserved, and frankly a lot less embarrassing than her older sister. In her dining room Nicky has managed to bring the Beverly Hills Hotel vibe right into her own home.

I’m still trying to find my interior design aesthetic but I’m pretty sure I’ll never be able to live in a pink and green home.  This spread from Elle Decor seems a little more my scene.  The green foliage makes this room seem like a fresh and calming space.  And the the white and gold accents make  it infinitely more refined.
