Seriously how am I just now realizing how spectacular Etsy is?!
My find this week are these prints by anek. These would be a subtle way to infuse a little style into your kitchen.
I feel like it’s time for me to be friends with a fashion illustrator already. Between Inslee and David Downton, I’m convinced they’ve got to be really interesting and fabulous in person. Check out these from Mr. Downton. He even does portaits. Amaze.
I heart these prints by Marnie Gilder. Maybe it’s time for me to take a trip down under because this artist is from Australia. So many Aussie posts lately!
But I digress, these prints caught my eye because they are simple yet really hold your attention. They look a little Matisse-esque, no?
(Hope I’m making my Art History friends proud with that reference, looks like the art museum membership is paying off!)
My brief venture into the blogosphere has led me to some incredible discoveries. Mainly, the realization that I do in fact appreciate art…well happy, watercolors that is. Here is my newest favorite artiste:
Not only is she super talented but she puts her art to use! You can buy prints, stationary, calendars…you name it. Her site is full of cute artsy (and reasonably affordable) items but it also has a link to her blog. Bonus: She usually paints her friends for their birthday. What a gift!
This cheeky piece of work made me giggle. The saying seems antiquated but it still rings true, especially down South. Check out the artist, Ariel Aberg-Riger, and more of her work here. Her line drawings will definitely get you thinking.
Now that you’ve gotten a small dose of culture, put your face on and enjoy the weekend!
